Women In Authority - 1 Kings 10-11
Queen of Sheva visits Solomon. Respect for position = respect of the person holding the position?

Even if it is a woman?
Chapter 11 - v 2 - clave unto these in 'love'.
God said no don't - what type of love was Solomon experiencing?
Devising Hearts - 1 Kings 12-14
Devising Hearts - 1 Kings 12-14
Jeroboam erect golden calves and states these brought the people out of Egypt.
Didn't he know his history?
12:33 ...devised in his own heart...
What am i, or you, or the visible church 'devising' and doing which we think honors God and is in essence idolatry?
"I do this .... to honor the Lord." Really, does the Word of God substantiate it?
Or rather when we search Scripture do we find our 'worship' more reflects those who were in rebellion?
Chapter 13 - man of God used how many times? Though he was a man of God and spoke true words was he completely obedient?
1 Kings 15-17
15:29 any that breathed
How is this different from him that pisseth against the wall? Only men in those instances? Whereas breathing is done by both genders?
16:11 pisseth
1 Kings 18-20
Obadiah - govenor of Ahab's house, yet a believer. How'd he get the position?
Why keep it? No choice?
18:39 The Lord, he is the God. How often said and by whom?
1 Kings 21-22
Women as a snare...
Reading about Jezebel and how she stirred up her husband (22:25), made me think of other women who didn't inspire in a Godly way (Eve, Delilah).
Then thinking of women who did (Abigail, Ruth).
As a woman these are worthy examples, as I reflect on how am I inspiring or stirring up?
This doesn't mean the men folk get a pass on behavior, or really any of us.
Whether we're male/female, young/middle-aged/old, married/single how are we glorifying God in our relationships with others?
Are we praying, seeking Him? Taking counsel (Biblical) from others, exhorting our fellow travelers to the narrow path?
