Sore Displeased

http://bible.com/1/dan.6.14.kjv Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

Been there, done that...sigh.

Thinking I'm so 'smart' yet finding myself 'caught' with not having really thought through a situation or circumstance, or sought counsel.

Those moments where you want to kick yourself and have a redo, but unfortunately can't.

Take back words said. Lord help me to ask You first (and more) before I act or speak.

Multi God's

http://bible.com/1/dan.3.29.kjv Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Is this an earlier look at diversity? Don't talk bad about my 'god' and I won't talk bad about yours?

Distribution Directive

http://bible.com/1/est.8.10.kjv And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries:

Horseback, mules, camels, and young dromedaries. Made me think of planes, trains and automobiles.

Prophetic

http://bible.com/1/lam.1.1.kjv How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

I know this verse isn't about the United States; however I think it is applicable. This nation started out so well and now has become such an abomination.

I'm amazed God hasn't trained fire and brimstone down on us. What a stench in His nostrils we must be, calling good evil and evil good.

Good help us to pray for this nation, it's people's, rulers and repentance.

Ruth's Obedience

http://bible.com/1/rut.3.5.kjv And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.

I've heard dramatization of the preceeding passages where Ruth questions Naomi.

Did she? We might because culturally we don't 'do' this. Or do we? Try to catch a man's eye? Not by necessarily laying at his feet.

And what was Ruth's previous culture for letting a man know you were interested?
