Genesis 34:5 Jacob holds his peace until his sons come in from the field.
V13 the sons answered.
Where was Jacob? As the patriarch why didn't he answer.
He stood by and let the sons answer, and deceitfully. All the sons or just Levi and Simeon (find name roots).
Cross reference to Genesis 31:7 where Jacob speaks of Laban deceiving him.
Sons picked up traits from grandfather?
What traits, attitudes, behaviors are we modeling?
If it's convenient we can act or behave (insert indulgence) because the ends justify the means.
V27 sons again, all or just the 2?
