Sling
1Sa 25:29 Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to
seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life
with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out
of the middle of a sling.
Abigail’s
use of the word sling (twice!) intrigued me.
It seems a deliberate ‘play’ on words based upon David’s history with a
sling (Goliath).

Jdg_20:16
Among all this people there were
seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could

hair breadth, and not miss.
1Sa_17:40
And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the
