H1870 - From H1869; a road (as trodden); figuratively a course of life or mode of action, often adverbially.

·         H1869 - A primitive root; to tread; by implication to walk; also to string a bow (by treading on it in bending).

H1870 – is used 704 times in 624 verses.  First usage:

Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way (H1870) of the tree of life.

Last (speaking of Josiah):

2Ch 34:2  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways (H1870) of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

Psalms uses the word 66 times in 64 verses, Proverbs 75 times in 69 verses.

Pro 2:8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way (H1870) of his saints.

Pro 2:20 That thou mayest walk in the way (H1870) of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Pro 4:11 I have taught thee in the way (H1870) of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

Pro 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way (H1870) of life:

Pro 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way (H1870), before his works of old.


Oh Lord, help me to walk in Your way, to seek You with all of my spirit, soul and body.
